This Park is aimed at bringing about awareness among people who visit it and also among the general masses through them. For enhancing the utility and effectiveness of the Park for the society, multiple features have been added to the Park. They include moat type enclosures (approved by Central Zoo Authority) for Asiatic lion, Royal Bengal tiger and leopard; upgraded dugong display section; enhanced botanical garden; upgraded cactus house and energy and climate change orientation center. The dinosaur park exists here since 2001 and continues to impart education about these giant extinct lizards to the visitors.

ARANYA UDDYAN
It is the eastern part of the nature park complex. It is located on the eastern bank of the river Sabarmati. A nature education camp-site created within Aranya Uddyan in the past continues to remain useful all the year round for organising NEC camps. A unique facility of the open type butterfly park and butterfly interpretation center has been created, which is endowed with several nectar plants that can attract a variety of butterflies and a small building for exhibiting butterfly-related information.
